Artifact 1: Data Analysis

This artifact relates to the Teacher Quality Standard number 3 because it analyzes data from assessment to better understand students’ needs and how to teach more effectively in the future. Although this is not using my own data because I did not have the chance to teach my lesson plan and collect data, I chose to include this artifacts because it demonstrates how I was able to look at sample data from an assessment, along with the students demographics to understand trends. By noticing these trends, I though about which instructional techniques would work best for different groups of students to ensure that all students are able to learn in a method that works for them.
Artifact 2: Interdisciplinary Lesson Plan

This artifact relates to the third Teacher Quality Standard because it is a lesson plan that delivers effective instruction, and includes multiple disciplines to connect to students in more than just one content area. I chose to include this artifact because I feel as though it is a strong lesson plan that demonstrates proficiency. It also demonstrates the capability of combining content areas and disciplines and also relating them to the real world. This helps student see a connection between what they are learning and other aspects of their life which can make it more effective. It also gives students the chance to show proficiency in at least one area of the lesson, and use that to learn more about the other aspects.
