Artifact 1: Resume

This artifact relates to Teacher Quality Standard 4 because it demonstrates my knowledge and professional experience at that point. Resumes show an understanding of professionalism, and a background of knowledge. I chose to include this artifact because it demonstrated the amount of experience and knowledge I had in the working world as well as education at the beginning of this course. I also think it is important because resumes are constantly expanding, and just since taking this course I have things that I could add to my resume to further show my experience, such as AVID tutoring.
Artifact 2: CEP Lesson Plan for Student Leadership

This artifact relates to Teacher Quality Standard because it is a lesson plan that teaches students about leadership, responsibility and professionalism through using other teachers as an example. I chose to include this because although it is a lesson plan, it sets an example for students because it is asking them to highlight their teachers and staff who’s work and professionalism may go unnoticed. By asking students to thoughtfully think about their teachers roles, it is showing the students how to be leaders through example. I also believe that as a teacher, it is important to show that leaders are people who help and highlight others.
